The Nokia 6500S is a slider-style cell phone. It is preinstalled with a MicroSD memory card to store pictures, ringtones and other types of data. The card is removable, which means you can replace it with one that has more room. You should format a new MicroSD card before you store any files on it. The formatting process makes the card compatible with the Nokia cell phone. You also can format a memory card with a computer.
Instructions
1. Power off the Nokia phone. Slide off the back panel.
2. Insert a MicroSD card, if it is not already inside. Replace the panel and power the phone back on.
3. Go to "Gallery" from the main menu.
4. Choose "Memory Card" inside "Gallery."
5. Click on "Format Memory Card" and hit "Yes" to confirm it. Wait for the Nokia 6500S to format the card to the phone's filing system.
