Send Something Using Bluetooth To An Infrared Phone

Bluetooth lets you connect your cell phone to another cell phone wirelessly. This includes infrared (IR) phones, which also connect wirelessly to other handheld devices. When connected, you can send data files, ringtones, music, videos and photos. You can also access that person's data files and personal information. Learning to connect to other phones via Bluetooth will help you stay connected with your contacts. As long as both phones are infrared or Bluetooth-enabled, you should have no trouble with the setup process.

Instructions

1. Press the "MENU" button on your cell phone. Navigate to "Bluetooth" and select "Enable." Repeat this step for the infrared phone.

2. Select "Add a Device" on either of the phones. Detect the other phone by its model number. Click "OK" to confirm the Bluetooth connection. Repeat this for the other cell phone.

3. Press the "MENU" button on the phone you want to send information. Navigate to "Media" and highlight the media you want to send. Click the "SEND MEDIA" option. Repeat this step for any other media files you want to send (music, songs, etc.).

4. Wait for the infrared phone to receive the media files. The person should receive a message notification that they received a file. They will then need to press the "OK" to accept and open the file.
