Most cell phones have an option that lets you lock the phone so you can protect it from accidentally dialing phone numbers. The locking option also acts as a security feature. If someone has your phone who is not supposed to have it, they can't see what's on your phone without knowing the code to unlock it. You can unlock your phone in a few simple steps, depending on the model of your phone.
Instructions
1. Turn on your phone's display by pressing one of its keys. The screen should indicate whether your phone is locked.
2. Press the key on your phone that corresponds with unlocking it. On some phones, it is near the bottom of the screen above a key.
3. Enter the code you chose as the PIN for your phone, if your phone requires one. A PIN is a personal identification number. You should know if it does or not because you would have previously entered this PIN when you chose to lock your phone. If you don't have a pin, you should just be able to directly choose unlock.
4. Press OK to unlock if your phone prompts you. You should now be able to fully use your phone.
