Troubleshoot A Belkin Wireless Travel Mouse

The Belkin wireless travel mouse offers an option for users tired of the hassle of a wired computer mouse. The Belkin wireless mouse is convenient and generally works properly. Yet, the Belkin wireless mouse can occasionally experience issues. You can troubleshoot your Belkin wireless by following the advice in its user manual. If you cannot resolve the issue after troubleshooting, you may need to get a new mouse.


Instructions


1. Make sure your mouse receiver plugs into the proper port. Sometimes, you can accidentally plug your wireless mouse receiver into the keyboard port, rather than the appropriate USB or designated port. Place your mouse at least eight inches away from any electronic device. These devices can interfere with the signal of your wireless mouse.


2. Check your batteries. You may have installed used or drained batteries. Or, you may have placed the batteries into the mouse in the incorrect direction. If your mouse works in a choppy manner, your batteries may be about to die. Replace them with a fresh set to fix this problem.


3. Reset your receiver. Push the "reset" button on your receiver to initiate a reset. Sometimes, this will make your receiver recognize your mouse.
