The Nokia 2600 cellular telephone offers all the basic amenities including text messaging, picture messaging and conference calling. It even has the option for customizable face plates. Using this phone is relatively simple. Install your SIM card, charge the phone and you're ready to go.
Instructions
1. Press the release button on the back cover of the phone and remove the cover. Remove the battery by lifting it upwards. Insert the SIM card, making sure that the gold contact is facing downwards. Close the SIM holder and lock it in place. Insert the battery and re-install the back cover plate.
2. Connect the phone charger to the base of the phone. Connect the other end of the charger to an AC power source. The phone will display an indicator bar if it is charging correctly. Once the battery is fully charged, you can unplug the phone from the charger.
3. Turn on your phone by pressing and holding the power key, located directly beside the right arrow key. You will need to hold the button for a few seconds before the phone will power on.
4. Make a phone call by keying in the phone number on the outer keypad. If you want to make an international call, you can add a "+" to your number by pressing and holding the * key. To delete unwanted numbers, press the "c" button to clear them. When the number is correct, press "Call" to dial the number. When the call is complete, press "End."
5. Key in text by choosing from two different methods: traditional text input or predictive text input. To use traditional text input, press the key with the letter you want. Keep pressing the same key until the letter you want appears. To use predictive text input, key in the word by pressing the key that corresponds with the letter you want. Spell out the word by pressing the keys and the word will automatically be predicted. If the wrong word is predicted press "*" until the word you want appears.
