Put Music On An E71 Phone

The Nokia E71 comes pre-equipped with music playback components and capability. Music files can also be transferred to the E71 from a computer without any additional charges. With the use of the Nokia USB cable and Windows Media Player, you can connect the Nokia E71 to the computer as a mass storage device for simplified synchronization transfers.

Instructions

1. Launch Windows Media Player on the computer.

2. Place the MicroSD memory card into the E71 memory card slot if you have not already. (See Warnings for more information on the importance of the MicroSD memory card.)

3. Connect the Nokia USB cable to the Nokia E71 adapter inlet. Then, secure the supplying end of the Nokia USB to an available USB port on the computer.

4. Choose the "Media Transfer" connection mode on the Nokia E71 screen when the connection configuration screen appears. This action will enable file transfers directly from Windows Media Player to the phone.

5. Hit the down arrow at the bottom of the "Sync" tab option at the top of the Windows Media Player menu.

6. Select "Mobile Phone" in the Options section for the Sync menu. The sync pane will open on the right side of Windows Media Player and the E71 phone model will be listed as the file syncing destination.

7. Click the "Library" tab on the Windows Media Player menu to view all of the music files and pick which ones you want to put on the E71.

8. Go through the Library list of music files. Drag the titles you want to put on the E71 to the Sync pane. After you've finished moving all of the music titles of your choice, click "Start Sync" at the bottom of the newly created playlist. Once the full playlist has been transferred, all of the music will be on the E71 for playback.
