Use Mobile Web On Cricket With A Fully Flashed Phone

Cricket uses Code Division Multiple Access or CDMA technology, which requires that a phone purchased from a different CDMA carrier be re-programmed or "flashed" prior to being used on the Cricket network. Although Cricket doesn't perform flashing for you, the carrier activates service plans on devices that you've already flashed, which include the option to access the mobile Web on Web-ready devices. Have a Cricket retailer activate this feature for you.

Instructions

1. Visit a Cricket retail location with the flashed phone in tow. If you don't have a Cricket corporate store in your area, you may visit any cellphone retailer that displays a Cricket logo in its window.

2. Browse available service plans with the representative on duty. Emphasize that Internet service is a requirement and purchase the plan that best meets your monthly needs.

3. Have the representative activate your flashed phone. Since Cricket is a prepaid network, you don't need to submit your Social Security number for a credit check, but you do need your name, address and other identifying information to set up the account. You may also need to pay a one-time activation fee.
