Open An Iphone To Put In A Sim Card

You can use a paper clip to remove a SIM card.

Apple's iPhone uses a SIM card to store your personal information. The SIM card saves your contacts, your photos and other personal settings. The SIM card is removable. This allows you to change SIM cards when you get a new phone instead of having to type and save all your personal data in the phone.

Instructions

1. Insert the end of the SIM eject tool into the hole on the SIM tray. If you lost the tool, you can use a paper clip. The SIM tray is located on the top of the iPhone on the Original, 3G and 3GS models. The SIM tray is located on the right side of the iPhone 4.

2. Press the end of the tool or pin firmly down until the tray pops open. Pull the tray out.

3. Remove the SIM card that is currently in the tray. If there is not one there, skip this step.

4. Place the new SIM card into the tray. Line it up so that the slanted side of the SIM card fits into the slanted side of the holder.

5. Put the tray back into the slot and press it firmly until it is in place.
