Unlock An Mmc Card When You'Ve Forgotten The Lock Code

Unlocking a phone's MMC card requires an unlock code.

Cell phones require the use of special memory cards to properly function. These cards, typically called SIM or MMC cards, are what connects a cell phone to its wireless network. Unlocking a MMC card on a phone is easy, even if the unlock code has been forgotten. It just requires consulting the phone's wireless provider.

Instructions

1. Contact customer service for the cell phone's network provider. Notify them that you've forgotten the phone's unlock code. The provider will then ask the necessary questions to establish the phone's history and retrieve the phone's IMEI number, which identifies the phone.

2. Take off the plate covering the battery on the phone. Near the battery is a smaller slot with a chip in it. This is the phone's MMC card. Remove it and place it back in the phone. Restart the device.

3. Follow the prompt on the phone that requests permission to use the MMC card. Enter the IMEI number provided by the wireless network. After the phone accepts the code it is unlocked, meaning the MMC card is no longer attached to the particular phone and is free to work with other devices.
