Activate A Verizon Omnia

You have options when activating your Verizon Omnia.

If you have purchased a Samsung Omnia through Verizon Wireless, you will need to activate the phone before using it with Verizon. This is true for both existing and new Verizon Wireless customers. You can perform the activation process at any time after receiving your new Omnia. Verizon offers several methods to activate the Omnia, allowing customers to choose their preferred activation method. Activation is an immediate and a one-time process that you do not need to repeat during the lifetime of the phone.

Instructions

1. Complete the device activation form on the Verizon Wireless website. You can find a link to this form in the "Resources" section of this article. Enter the Verizon phone number, billing ZIP code and IMEI number of the Omnia device. Check the Omnia device's box label for the IMEI number. Click "Continue" to proceed. The next section will ask for the last four digits of the account holder's Social Security number for verification. Enter these digits and then click "Submit" to complete. The activation process is immediate, and the new Omnia is ready for use.

2. Bring your new Omnia to a Verizon Wireless store. Verizon Wireless stores will activate your phone for you upon request. Take your Omnia and the order invoice to the local Verizon Wireless store for assisted activation. The "Resources" section contains a link to the Verizon store locator.

3. Activate your Omnia over the air. From the Omnia's dialing screen, press "*228" and then click "Call." The voice menu will offer three choices. Select option "3" to activate the Omnia. Follow the rest of the voice prompts to select the phone number and confirm the changes. Activation takes a few moments to complete.
