Flash Player
is a software program made by Adobe for viewing movies and animations. It is supported by any Web browser and often comes installed on new computers. If you require the Flash Player or an update to the player, you can download it for free from the Adobe website. If you're viewing a page that requires Flash Player or an upgrade, you won't be able to see the animations until you get the player.
System Requirements
Before downloading Flash Player, or an update to your existing version of Flash Player, you must first verify that your computer meets Adobe's system requirements. For Flash Player 10.2, a PC must have a Intel Pentium 4 2.33-GHz processor, Athlon 64 2800+ processor or a similar or faster processor. A Mac must have an Intel Core Duo 1.33-GHz or faster processor. Windows operating system users must have 128 MB of RAM, while Mac users require 256 MB of RAM.
Downloads
You can download the latest version of Flash Player or an update to Flash Player by visiting the Adobe website or another download website, such as CNET's Download.com. Downloading the player or an update to your existing player is free.
If you don't have this player and are browsing a site with Flash video, an error message will appear, explaining that you must download Flash Player. This error message often includes a link to Adobe's website. Because any Internet user can download Flash for free, Flash is a useful animation tool for Web developers. Once you've downloaded Flash Player, you can view all content on websites that have Flash.
Mobile
Adobe Flash Player 10.2 is compatible with smart phones and tablets, meaning you can download it onto some cellular phones, iPad, and some other tablets. Once you download it, you can successfully browse websites that include Flash elements. Just as with a computer, without Flash, you cannot view some websites on your smart phone or tablet.
