Unlock My Locked Samsung Glyde Phone That Is Set To Nam2

How Do I Unlock My Locked Samsung Glyde Phone That Is Set to Nam2?

The Nam2 setting on a cell phone switches the handset to begin using a second phone number. This setting doesn't work on the Samsung Glyde because Verizon Wireless doesn't support the feature. Still, many Samsung Glyde users accidently switch to the Nam2 setting while playing with their phones' settings. As soon as you enable this setting, the Samsung Glyde reboots and asks you for the security code. The problem is that you haven't set a security code for the Nam2 setting and therefore don't know it. Verizon Wireless can't tell you your security code and can only reinstall the software so you can use your phone again.

Instructions

1. Take your Samsung Glyde into a Verizon Wireless retail location (see Resources).

2. Explain to the service representative that you have enabled the Nam2 setting on your Samsung Glyde and do not know the security code to unlock it. Allow the service representative to flash your handset by reinstalling the Verizon Wireless programming. Pay any fees associated with the flashing service, although whether the store charges you depends on your market area and whether the store is a corporate Verizon store.

3. Tap the "Get It Now" icon on your newly flashed Samsung Glyde. Tap "Browse & Download." Tap "Get New Application." Tap "Business Tools/Information." Tap "Backup Assistant." Click the "OK" key. Enter the PIN code to your Verizon Wireless Backup Assistant account when prompted. Choose the "restore option" to restore your contacts to your Samsung Glyde.
