Download Ring Tones From A Computer To A Phone

Although most cell phones come with preinstalled sounds that serve as stationary ring tones, many users opt to add new ring tones to cater to their individuality. With the use of the Internet, download ring tones directly to your phone from your computer. The act of downloading ring tones from a computer to a phone is technically referred to as uploading. Uploading enables the transfer process without the phone being physically connected to the computer. With the use of an on-line uploader, the ring tone can be sent to the phone in a SMS text message and downloaded to the phone's memory.


Instructions


1. Open your Web browser and go to a third-party mobile website with an uploading application. (See Resources)


2. Locate the mobile uploading form application on the mobile website's homepage.


3. Click the uploading form's "Browse" button next to the "File Name" or "File" form to access the folder path window for your hard drive.


4. Locate the ring tone file stored on your computer using the hard drive's folder path window. Click "Open" to load the ring tone file in the uploading form.


5. Type the destination device's 10-digit mobile number in the "Send To" data field.


6. Click the "Upload File" action to download the ring tone from the computer to the phone. The ring tone file will be transferred to the phone directly from the computer's hard drive file. The ring tone file's download link will be sent to the phone in the form of a text message.


7. Open the ring tone download link that will appear in the text message that will be sent to your phone. The phone will redirect to the mobile Web browser.


8. Download the ring tone file to the phone's memory. Once the ring tone file is stored to the phone, it will be accessible for use.
