How Tell If My Nokia 6103 Phone Is Unlocked

The Nokia 6103 is a cellular phone that operates on Global Systems for Mobile Communications cellular networks. The phone features a color display, a speakerphone, text messaging capabilities and a digital camera. As a GSM-based cellular phone, the Nokia 6103 requires a subscriber identity module to function properly. By inserting a SIM card from another cellular network, you can determine if your Nokia 6103 is unlocked.

Instructions

1. Slide the back cover off your Nokia 6103 and remove the phone's battery.

2. Remove your existing SIM card and insert a SIM card from any other GSM cellular service provider.

3. Insert the battery and slide the back cover back onto the phone.

4. Power on your Nokia 6103.

5. Look at your phone's display. If the phone displays the message "SIM card rejected" or "Enter restriction code," your phone has a carrier lock. If you do not see one of these messages, your phone is unlocked.
