Use Windows Live Call


Windows Live Messenger offers a feature called Windows Live Call. Using Windows Live Call, you can call your contacts and others on their phone or even their computer using your computer to place the call. These steps will show you use Windows Live Call.


Instructions


1. Open Windows Live Messenger.


2. In the Windows Live Messenger window, click the "Menu" button.


3. Point to “Actions” and then point to “Call”.


4. To call one of your contacts on their computer, click “Call a Computer”. The “Select a Contact” dialog box will open. Choose the contact you wish to call and click “OK”. They will receive an invitation and their computer will ring.


5. To call one of your contacts on their phone, click “Call a Contact’s Phone”. Choose the contact you wish to call from the “Select a Contact” dialog box. Your contact’s phone will ring.


6. To call a phone number that is not in your contact list, click “Call a Phone”. Then Windows Live “Dialer” will appear. Enter the number you wish to call and then click “Call”.
