It is possible to unlock your LG VX6100 mobile phone to allow it to connect to any network you want. To do so, you need to either get an unlock code from your phone's carrier or purchase an unlock code from a third-party website. Whichever you decide to do, you need to have your phone's International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number handy, which you can find by typing a code in on the phone's keypad.

Customer Service Representative
1. Enter *#06# on the VX6100's keypad. This causes the phone's IMEI number to appear on the screen. Write this number down.
2. Call your phone's carrier. Speak with a customer service representative and ask him for an unlock code. You need to provide him with your phone's IMEI number. Keep in mind, however, that even providing him with your phone's IMEI does not guarantee that he will give you an unlock code.
3. Turn the phone on. When the prompt appears, enter in the unlock code given to you by the representative (if he gave you one).
