Configure Text Messaging On The Motorola V505

The Motorola V505 is a cellphone that allows you to make calls, connect to the Internet and send both text and multimedia messages. The default text-messaging settings of your Motorola V505 should allow you to send and receive messages. However, you can edit the settings through the Motorola V505's "Settings" menu.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" key above the round navigation key. Using the navigation key, select the "Settings" menu and press the navigation key to enter the menu.

2. Scroll down the list until you reach "Network settings" and select it to open the menu.

3. Scroll down and select "Text messaging."

4. Highlight and open the "Messaging center." Enter the correct number for the text messaging server of your cellphone carrier. Contact your carrier if you don't know that number.

5. Select "Receipt." Select "Enable" if you want to receive a message every time a contact had read a message you have sent. Select "Disable" if you do not wish to use that feature.
