Switch Sim Cards In A Prepaid At&T

Switch a SIM card between phones successfully.


Before wasting your time adding all of your contact information into a new cell phone, consider switching your SIM card instead. AT&T makes it easy to switch and store information between prepaid phones regardless of the type of phone model you have. By learning switch SIM cards between phones, you will save time in the long run.


Instructions


1. Turn off your phone, and open the cell phone by turning it over and removing the back. On most cell phones, this can be done by pressing firmly on the back cover and sliding it up.


2. Locate and remove the battery. It is typically large, black and in a rectangle shape.


3. Locate the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card. This is a much smaller rectangle and is usually blue or orange and will say "AT&T" on it. On most prepaid phones, you can find the SIM card hidden under the battery.


4. Slide the SIM card out of position. If the card won't move easily, there is a button you need to press. The button can usually be found directly in front of the card.


5. Insert the SIM card into the SIM slot on the new phone.


6. Put the battery back in place, and slide on the back cover.


7. Turn the phone on. All the information stored on the SIM card will be displayed on your new cell phone.
