USB cord like the one used to transfer ringtones
As cell phones continue to evolve into multimedia devices with a wide range of capabilities, technologies continue to evolve with the phones. In the past, you had to download ringtones from cellular providers or purchase them directly from your phone. Today, you can use a variety of methods to add tones to your phone for use with as many different contacts as you like. One popular way is with a USB cord, which will allow you to make the transfer using only the cord, your cellular device and a computer.
Instructions
1. Locate the ringtones in your computer's library. For ease of transfer, you can save all of the ringtone files in one folder and place the folder on your desktop.
2. Insert one end of your USB cable into the USB port on your computer and insert the other into your cell phone. Many manufacturers make USB cables that are specifically compatible with particular cell phones. Allow a few seconds for the connection to establish.
3. Wait for a new desktop icon to load onto your desktop for the connection with your cell phone, or click the "Computer" tab in your computer's main menu to access the new USB drive on your computer. There will be an icon for the new USB connection near your DVD, CD and partition drives.
4. Open the folder with your new ringtones on your computer and select the files in the folder. Drag and drop these files onto either the new icon on your desktop or the USB drive in your "Computer" folder. Allow a few seconds for the files to load to your phone, and you will be free to disconnect the devices to access the new tones on your cell phone.
