Transfer Data From A Nokia 7260 To A 6500

A USB cable can be used to connect mobile phones to computers.

The 7260 and the 6500 are mobile phone devices made by Nokia. With most phones, it is easy to transfer files between two as the majority of phones feature Bluetooth. Unfortunately, the 7260 does not feature Bluetooth, making file transfer a much longer process -- files must be transferred from one phone to a computer, and then from the computer to the other device.

Instructions

1. Connect the 7260 to a free USB port on your computer using the USB cable.

2. Click "Start" and open "Computer." Double-click the drive allocated to your phone to open a folder displaying its contents.

3. Browse through the folder to locate files you'd like to transfer. Click and drag these files to the desktop to copy them.

4. Return to "Computer," right-click the phone drive and click "Eject."

5. Connect the 6500 using the USB cable.

6. Click "Start" and open "Computer" once more. Open the drive allocated to your phone. Click and drag the files copied to your desktop to the appropriate folders within your phone drive folder.
