Synchronize A Blackberry To Outlook

Synchronize Email


Microsoft Outlook is an email application and personal information manager that allows users to keep in touch with contacts, manage a calendar of events, keep track of tasks and upload notes. Blackberry is a smartphone device that allows users to stay connected to people and data while on the go. Sync Outlook with your Blackberry device using the Blackberry Desktop Manager software to view and manage your emails, calendar, tasks and notes.


Instructions


1. Install the Blackberry Desktop Manager software on your computer. This software is included on the Blackberry Installation CD that is packaged with your device. The software may also be downloaded by clicking on the "Download Blackberry Desktop Manager" link under Resources.


2. Launch the Blackberry Desktop Manager software. Double-click the Blackberry Desktop Manager icon from your desktop. Alternatively, select the application from the start menu by clicking "Start" from the system tray, clicking on "All Programs," select "Blackberry" and then click "Blackberry Desktop Manager."


3. Connect your Blackberry to your computer using a USB cable. The Blackberry device driver will install once connected.


4. Click "Synchronize" in the Blackberry Desktop Manager application window.


5. Check the box next to "Synchronize Organizer Data."


6. Click on the "Configuration" tab to open the configuration settings. Click on "Configure synch: Blackberry Synchronize Configuration."


7. Check the appropriate data from Outlook that you wish to synchronize with your Blackberry device. Data options include tasks, contacts, notes and calendars. Choose "Outlook" when the software asks with which application you would like to sync.


8. Click on "Synchronize Now" button to begin synchronization
