How Install Jad Into A W580i

A JAD or Java Application Descriptor file is a type of Java file, describing Java ME packages that are use in application or games. These descriptor files are necessary parts of Java applications and games that run on the Sony Ericsson w580i phone. These files are not customarily installed by themselves and are usually part of the particular Java application package. However, these files can be installed into the package folders, to replace or update other outdated or defective versions of the file. The process of installing the JAD file is fairly straightforward.

Instructions

1. Plug the USB connector cable into the USB port on the side of the Ericsson w580i phone, then plug the other end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer. Once the phone is connected to the computer, a folder will appear on the desktop.

2. Double-click on the w580i folder to open it, then double-click on the "System" folder inside it.

3. Drag-and-drop the JAD file into the folder labeled: "MIDlets" inside the "System" folder. The new JAD folder should automatically replace the older version. If your computer shows you a prompt asking whether or not to replace older file, click "Yes," then "OK."
