The automated features in the Xerox Phaser 6120 notify you when it's time to replace the toner cartridge and tell you which cartridge is in need of replacement. Use the onscreen instructions provided by the Xerox Phaser 6120 to assist you in toner cartridge replacement.

Instructions

2. Press the "Menu Select" button located on the button panel of the Xerox Phaser 6120 until the message "Printable Pages Menu" or "Proof/Print Menu" appears in the display window.

3. Press the right arrow button on the button panel of the Xerox Phaser 6120 until the message "Quality Menu" appears in the display window.

4. Press the "Menu Select" button on the button panel until the message "Toner Removal" appears in the display window.

5. Press the down arrow key until "Black" is displayed in the display window, then press the right arrow key until the correct color for the toner to be replaced is listed in the display window. Once the correct color has been chosen, press the "Menu Select" button. The Xerox Phaser 6120 will display the message "Please Wait."

6. Once the Xerox Phaser 6120 has rotated the toner carousel, the message "Open Door and Replace Toner" will appear in the display window. Pull the lever to raise the top lid on the Xerox Phaser 6120 and then pull down the front cover to expose the toner cartridge. Verify that the correct toner cartridge has been rotated into position by checking the color markings and letter printed on the toner cartridge.

7. Remove the empty toner cartridge by pulling the handle first toward you, then upward. Set the empty toner cartridge aside.

8. Remove the replacement toner cartridge from the packaging and shake gently. Remove the cover from the new toner cartridge.

10. Close the front cover of the Xerox Phaser 6120, then close the top cover of the printer. The printer will automatically calibrate the new toner cartridge and will display "Ready" in the display window when printing can resume.
