Flash An Eeprom For Cricket On A Motorola Cell Phone

EEPROM is short for "electronic erasable programmable read-only memory." It is a type of memory that is erased when exposed to an electrical charge. This means that you can only erase this type of memory with flashing software and a cable. Cricket does not provide flashing software, but it does provide this service at several of their indirect stores. This process involves removing your old network's software and replacing it with Cricket's software.

Instructions

1. Use the Cricket website to find an indirect dealer near you (see Resources). Enter your zip code or your state of residence. Write down the address and telephone number.

2. Take your phone with you to the Cricket dealer. Make sure your phone is compatible with the Cricket network. Ask the associate if you can flash your phone to the network.

3. Choose a prepaid or pay-as-you go plan that fits your budget and your needs. Choose any additional plans such as mobile Web or texting, if necessary.

4. Ask the associate to activate your phone to the network. Pay any fees associated with flashing and activating your phone.
