Send Mp3s To Cell Phones For Free

Sending an MP3 to a cell phone

An MP3 is an MPEG Layer-3 encoded audio file. It is one of the most widely used digital media types, and most cell phones that are compatible with audio files are compatible with MP3s. Cell phones can use MP3s as ringtones or notifications, and many cell phones are capable of functioning as MP3 players, as well. Uploading an MP3 to a cell phone can be done in a variety of ways, and most of these ways are free.

Instructions

1. Plug the phone into a computer via a USB cable. Many cell phones now come with USB cables and software that allow them to communicate with computers in order to transfer data such as MP3s.

2. Email the song to yourself if your cell phone is a smartphone that has an email account attached to it. Many smartphone users receive email directly to their phones, and can download attachments such as MP3s directly to the phone's hard drive.

3. Send the MP3 via Bluetooth. Pair the phone with a Bluetooth-enabled computer. Nearly all cell phones have built-in Bluetooth transmitters that can send and receive data. Many phones are capable of receiving MP3s, and saving them to be used as ringtones, or simply for playback.
