The Nokia E71 supports both 2G and 3G networks, which makes it possible for you to enjoy up to 3.6 Mbps HSDPA data speed. With an active Globe data subscription on your SIM card, you can browse the Web, use email and send multimedia messages on the Nokia E71 handset. However, to successfully to send MMS messages and use other data-related services, you must first define the necessary Globe data settings.
Instructions
1. Switch on the Nokia E71 and access the "Menu" screen. Select "Tools" and then choose "Settings." Navigate to "Connection" and choose "Access Points" from the "Connection" menu.
2. Select "Options" and then choose "New Access Point" to create a new access point. Enter "MyGlobe MMS" as the connection name. Select "Packet Data" at the "Data Bearer" field.
3. Enter "mms.globe.com.pl" in the "APN" field. Choose the desired Authentication to either "Secured" or "Normal" and leave the "Username" and "Password" fields blank.
4. Press the "Options" soft-key button and select "Advanced Settings." Enter "203.177.042.214" in the "Proxy Server Address" and then save this profile.
5. Press the "Back" soft key to return to the "Menu" area. Select "Communication," then choose "Messaging." Press the "Options" soft key and select "Settings."
6. Navigate to "Multimedia message" and select "Access Point" in use. Select "MyGlobe MMS" as the default access point to connect to the multimedia message center.
