You can reset your Verizon password if it's lost or forgotten.
Verizon offers several services that require you to enter a password in order to use them. For example, you need a password to access your Verizon online e-mail account, a password to access Verizon dial-up Internet service, and a password to retrieve your Verizon wireless voice mail. If you have forgotten your e-mail password, there are tools available online to help you reset it to a new one. If you already know your password and just want a new one, you also can reset it online. You also can reset your voice mail password.
Instructions
Forgotten E-mail Password
1. Visit the "Verizon Central" web page if you are able to get online. If you are unable to get online, telephone the Verizon Customer Support team at 888-553-1555.
2. Click on the link labeled "Forgot User ID or Password."
3. Select the "Password" option. Click the "Continue" button.
4. Enter your Verizon username.
5. Provide the answer to the security question associated with your account.
6. Enter your desired password in the "New Password" field. Confirm the password by re-entering it in the "Re-Enter Password" field.
7. Click the "Continue" button to complete the password reset.
Already Know Your Current Password?
8. Visit the Verizon website. Click on the "My Account" link.
9. Enter your Verizon username and current password into the appropriate fields. Click the "Sign In" button.
10. Select the option to "Edit Password or Secret Question."
11. Enter your current password into the "Current Password" field.
12. Enter your new password into the "New Password" field. You will have to "Re-Enter Password" to confirm your new password. Click the "Submit" button to save your new password.
Change Voice Mail Password
13. Dial "*611" from your Verizon wireless device. Select option "2."
14. Press option "1" to access the password reset menu.
15. Verify your identity by answering the prompt questions.
16. Enter the new password you would like to use.
