MicroSD cards are portable storage devices smaller than postage stamps. They are convenient for saving music files to listen to on a multimedia cellphone and portable media player. If you are running out of memory, delete the songs you're no longer interested in and make room for others. Deleting songs from your microSD card is a quick process you can accomplish using your computer.
Instructions
1. Insert your microSD card into a microSD card adapter and slide the adapter into the SD card slot on your computer, if it has one. If your computer does not have a card slot, connect a card reader to your computer and insert the microSD card adapter into the card slot on the card reader. If you don't have a card reader, insert the microSD card into the card slot on your device (cellphone, media player), then connect your device to your computer using your USB cable.
2. Double-click "Computer" on the desktop, locate your microSD card's icon in the "Drives" section and double-click it. You should see the files saved to your portable storage device. If you are using a Mac, locate your microSD card's icon on the desktop and double-click it.
3. Highlight the songs you want to remove and press "Delete." When prompted, click "Yes" to confirm. If your songs are in the "Music" folder, double-click the folder and then select the songs you want to remove. Press "Delete" and confirm your selection.
4. Close the microSD card window and remove the card from your computer.
