Instructions On The Jabra Sp700

The Jabra SP700 is a wireless Bluetooth speaker, designed to work alone or with your vehicle's audio system. The speaker connects to Bluetooth-enabled phones that support a hands-free profile. Calls and music can be routed from your phone to the speaker. Before you can start using the Jabra SP700, you'll need to charge the internal battery and pair it with your cell phone. Your mobile phone should also have sufficient charge and be near the speaker during setup.

Instructions

Pairing

1. Connect the speaker to the car charger or charge it with the USB cable and a computer. You'll find the charging port on the right side of the speaker. A full charge takes about two hours -- the battery icon light will change from red to green when charging is complete.

2. Unplug your speaker from the charging source and keep it powered off. Power on your mobile phone and open the main menu. Choose "Settings," then "Bluetooth." Turn on Bluetooth.

3. Press and hold the speaker's "Answer/End" button (marked by a phone icon) for several seconds until you hear a "Pairing Mode" announcement. The speaker is in pairing mode.

4. Open your phone's Bluetooth menu and choose "Add Device" or "Discover." Choose "Jabra SP700" from the list of found devices that appears. Enter "0000" when you are prompted for a passkey. Press "OK" on your phone to complete pairing.

Using the Speaker

5. Slide the attached clip, located on the back of your speaker, over your vehicle's sun visor.

6. Tap the "Answer/End" button on the front of the headset to answer an incoming call. Audio will automatically be routed through the speaker when your phone and speaker are connected.

7. Tap the "Volume Up" or "Volume Down" buttons, located on the right side of the speaker, to adjust the volume during the call. Press the "Volume Down" button for approximately five seconds to mute a call. Press the volume button again to un-mute.

8. Tap the "Answer/End" button once to end a call. To make a call, use your phone's voice dialing feature (dependent on handset) or dial the number as usual from the device and press "Send." Audio will route to the speaker.

9. Open your phone's music player and highlight a desired song, then press "Play." Music will automatically be played through the Jabra speaker.

10. Transfer audio from the speaker to your mobile phone by pressing the "Answer/End" button until you hear a beep. Press the button again to transfer audio back to the speaker.

11. Press the "Answer/End" button for four seconds to power the speaker off. The speaker will automatically turn off if it is disconnected from your phone for more than 10 minutes. Power the speaker back on by pressing the "Answer/End" button for two seconds.

FM Mode

12. Connect your phone and the speaker by turning on your phone's Bluetooth feature and powering the speaker on. (Press the "Answer/End" key for two seconds.)

13. Press the "FM" button, located on the left side of the speaker. Wait for the speaker to announce an FM frequency.

14. Tune your car's radio to the frequency that was announced. Audio will now be played through your car's stereo. Press the "FM" button again to exit FM mode.
