The Motorola i576 cell phone, for use with Nextel Direct Connect service, has several locks -- a SIM card lock, a phone lock and a keypad lock. The SIM card and phone locks stop unauthorized use of your phone and protect against theft of personal and other information. You can't use the phone to make calls with the SIM card locked. You can't use the phone except to make emergency calls with the phone locked and you can't use the keypad or make an emergency call, only accept incoming calls and contacts, with the keypad locked.
Instructions
1. Turn on your Motorola i576.
2. Enter your customized four-digit SIM card code or the default "0000" code if prompted to unlock the SIM card. Push the left "Select" key to submit the code.
3. Input your customized phone lock code or "0000" when prompted. Press the left "Select" key to unlock the phone entirely. Use your phone as desired.
4. Press "Menu" and "*" to lock and unlock the keypad as needed when using your phone.
