Revert Back To Old Nokia Phone Software

Nokia cell phones have customizable phone preferences. The user is allowed to change the settings of the phone, such as shortcuts, sounds and alerts, text input, time and date, themes, backlight and brightness, application settings and more. Once the phone is customized, you can always revert back to the old software settings when required. Nokia phones come with the option of "Restore Factory Settings," with which you can go back to the settings that the phone had initially. After you revert back to the default settings, your phone may take a bit longer to power on.

Instructions

1. Go to "Menu."

2. Select "Settings and Phone." On some phones, you will find the "Settings" options.

3. Select "Phone mgmt."

4. Select "Factory Settings," or "Rest. factory sett." Then, select "Restore Settings only" to reset all preference settings without deleting any personal data. Another option is "Restore all," which will reset all settings and delete all personal data including contacts, media files, applications, messages and more.

5. Enter the device code. For Nokia phones, the default code is "12345."
