Dial An International Number With Skype

Skype can connect you to many countries around the world. With SkypeOut, a service offered by Skype, you can dial international numbers and talk to your friends who live abroad. However, if you are new to the Skype service you may need some help dialing an international number. Read on to learn dial an international number with Skype.


Instructions


1. Search Skype for your friend. To save time and money, you may want to check Skype to see if the person you are calling is already a Skype user. If they are, Skype to Skype calling is free.


2. Activate the "SkypeOut" service. Skypeout needs to be activated to call all international numbers.


3. Know call information. You need to know the phone number, the country and about how long you plan to talk with your international friend. This will help you later with the input of information into the SkypeOut dialing service.


4. Check computer equipment. Skype provides you with "Echo123," a sound test feature, which will allow you to test any sound equipment on your computer to ensure the quality of sound you receive during calls.


5. Determine the country code. Skype provides a site to help determine country codes. This site allows you to find the country or region in which you are calling and search for the country code needed for dialing the number.


6. Enter call information into the address field. The Web site would like to you enter the number you are calling in the following way: "+" + "country code" + "number".


7. Click "Enter" or "Call me" to place call. Once you have typed in all necessary information, click one of these and your call will be made.
