Retrieve Deleted Sms From Nokia

Retrieve a text message with a data recovery kit.

You may have deleted a text message that you either hadn't read or needed to keep at one time or another. If you have, then you should know that a text message isn't really deleted until the memory slot it resides in is overwritten. Until then it is just turned off, so you can retrieve your deleted message if you have the correct tools.

Instructions

1. Purchase a SIM card recovery tool. There are several to choose from. A few that you can consider are Dekart, Datadoctor and RecoverSMS (see Resources). As of 2010 these sell for around $65. These kits include a USB SIM card reader, and a software application.

2. Put the CD-ROM into the drive in your computer. Agree to the terms and conditions. Click "Next" and follow the instructions. When the installation is complete, click the "OK" button and restart your computer.

3. Turn your cell phone off, remove the battery and remove the SIM card from your mobile phone. Put it in the card reader.

4. Connect the card reader to your computer and turn your computer on.

5. Open up the program and go to "File" and "Download Text Messages." A window will open up displaying all of the texts on your card. The deleted messages will appear in red. Click on "Undelete" to restore these messages.
