Get a PIN number to listen to your voice mail.
When you have a new voice mail message on your cell phone or you want to set up your voice mail greeting, but you can't remember your PIN number, you need to find a way to get that code. When you dial the number to check the voice mail on your cell phone, you will have to enter the PIN number as a security feature to access the service. You can get your PIN number by contacting your cell phone service provider and asking them to reset it.
Instructions
1. Dial 611 on your cell phone to access the automated customer service line for your cell phone provider.
2. Enter your cell phone number into your cell phone keypad, including the area code.
3. Listen to the prompts and press the number on your cell phone keypad associated with getting help with your voice mail. The number you press varies depending on your cell phone provider.
4. Tap the number on your telephone keypad associated with resetting your voice mail password, as dictated by the voice prompts.
5. Continue listening for any additional instructions on the voice prompts, such as entering your birth date or billing zip code for security purposes. Hang up your phone when the prompts indicate that your password is being reset.
6. Read an incoming text message sent to your phone by your cell phone service provider that contains the new PIN number for your voice mail.
