Nokia N75 Tips

Use your Nokia N75 as a modem to connect to the Internet.


Nokia's N75 smartphone features a 2-Megapixel camera, 40 MB of internal memory, a MicroSD card slot and a digital media player. The N75 includes Nokia's Symbian 9.1 Operating System for mobile phones. The Symbian 9.1 OS supports third-party applications, user interfaces and tools. Follow these simple tips to personalize your phone, create custom 3-D ringtones and use the N75 as a modem.


Personalization


You can personalize your Nokia N75 to make your phone more convenient. Enable the N75's Active Idle mode to create a list of the applications you most frequently use on your phone's idle screen. Press the "Menu" button, select "Settings," "Configuration," "Phone" and "Idle." Select "Screen mode," "Active Idle" and press "OK" to activate Active Idle mode. You can also change the appearance of your phone by changing the background image of the idle screen. Press "Menu" to select "Settings" and "Themes." Choose an image and press "Options" then "Apply" to set it as the background image.


Customize 3-D Ringtones


The Nokia N75 features 3-D ringtones for three-dimensional sound effects with configurable trajectory speeds, reverbation types and doppler effects. Press "Menu," select "Settings," "3-D Tones" and "On" to enable 3-D ringtones. To configure the three-dimensional sound effects for a 3-D ringtone, select "Ringing Tone" and choose the ringtone you wish to edit and select "Sound Trajectory" to edit the trajectory speed, reverbation types and doppler effects of the ringtone.


Use the Nokia N75 as a Modem


Nokia's PC Suite computer software allows your phone to act as a modem for your computer using the N75's USB cable. To establish an Internet connection using your phone as a modem, your phone's network subscription must include an Internet service with support for network packet data. Download PC Suite from Nokia's website and install it on your computer. Connect the N75 to your computer using the USB cable included with your phone. Open PC Suite and click "One Touch Access." Click "Configure," select "Nokia N75" from the list of available modems and select your phone's network from the list of network operators. Click "Connect" to establish the Internet connection.
