Garmin Mobile
XT is an application for mobile phones that provides spoken turn-by-turn directions, over six million points of interest and access to traffic updates and local fuel prices. With Garmin Mobile XT, there is no need to purchase a separate GPS device. The application can be loaded on a Palm Treo 700WX by following a brief installation process. After installation, the software must acquire a satellite signal in order to provide you with directions.
Instructions
1. Place the included data card into your phone's card slot. You may need to use one of the included adapters.
2. Open the file called "XT Install" on the data card, if you are not prompted automatically to install the software. Press "Yes" when asked if you wish to install the Garmin Mobile XT software. Wait for the software to complete installation. Configure the software to your preferences by answering the questions that appear.
3. Open the Garmin Mobile XT software, and drive your vehicle into an area that is away from tall trees, buildings or parking garages. Wait for up to several minutes as the software finds a satellite signal. When at least one bar turns green, a signal has been found, and you may now use the software.
