The HTC EVO 4G is an Android smartphone that allows you to set sound files as custom ringtones and notification tones. A simple way to put new ringtones on your HTC EVO 4G is to copy them from your computer using the EVO's USB mass storage mode. USB mass storage mode makes the EVO's MicroSD memory card accessible to the computer as if you had plugged in a USB flash drive.
Instructions
1. Plug your USB data cable into a USB port on your computer and the charging port on the bottom of your EVO 4G.
2. Drag your notifications panel from the top of your EVO 4G's screen to the bottom, and then tap the "Select to change USB connection type" entry.
3. Tap "Disk drive," and then tap "Done."
4. Open your PC's Start menu, and then click "Computer" in the right column. You will see your EVO's memory card appear as a removable disk drive in the "Devices with Removable Storage" section.
5. Double-click your EVO's memory card, open the "Music" folder and then open the "Ringtones" folder.
6. Open your PC's Start menu, click "Computer" and navigate to the folder on your computer that contains the ringtones you want to add.
7. Drag each ringtone file from its original location to the "Ringtones" folder to copy it to your EVO's memory card.
