Insert A 3g Sim Card Into A Blackberry Curve 8310

SIM cards are inserted underneath the battery in the Blackberry Curve 8310.

The Research in Motion (RIM) Blackberry Curve 8310 uses a 3G Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card for the simultaneous transmission of voice and high-speed data services. In addition to letting you make and receive calls, the SIM card also provides faster Internet browsing, global roaming capabilities when traveling overseas, GPS navigation, and the ability to store or transfer contact information. A 3G SIM card can be inserted into the Blackberry 8310 curve in minutes.

Instructions

1. Press and hold the power button on the front right side of the 8310 until it turns off.

2. Remove the battery cover. Lay the Blackberry face down. Press the release button at the bottom of the battery door. While holding the release button, slide the battery cover down and off the phone.

3. Remove the battery. The SIM card slot is located underneath the battery. Take the battery out of the battery well by pulling it upward.

4. Open the SIM card holder. The SIM card holder is the small metallic slot located on the left side of the battery well. Slide it into the unlocked position by gently lifting it until the door swings upward.

5. Insert the SIM card. Place the card into the holder slot with the metal contacts facing downward. The metal contacts on the SIM card should be touching the metal contacts in the phone. Slide the SIM card into the slot and make sure it is securely in place.

6. Lock the SIM card holder. Close the SIM card holder door and slide it down to lock it into place.

7. Reinsert the battery and battery door. Place the battery back into the battery well. Slide the battery cover onto the back of the phone until it locks into place.

8. Turn on the phone. Press and hold the power button on the front right of the phone until it turns on.
