Sprint Voicemail Instructions

Sprint offers a manual guide for setting up your voicemail inbox.

When you purchase a cellular device from Sprint, you can set up your voicemail on the Sprint network, so callers can leave messages when you are unable to answer your phone. Setting up your voicemail requires specific actions for proper activation.

Instructions

1. Call your phone's number from your cellular device or another phone. If you are calling from your cell phone, you will be prompted to set up your voicemail. If you are using another phone, press "*" when you hear the automated voicemail greeting.

2. Choose your language--English or Spanish. If you do not click anything, the setup process will continue in English. If you need to set it up in Spanish, press "1."

3. Enter your temporary Sprint password--the last seven digits of your Sprint phone number.

4. Listen to the options in the Sprint voicemail menu and select the option to set your personal password. The password must be four to seven digits.

5. Select the voicemail greeting option and choose whether to use the default automated greeting or record a personal greeting. To record the greeting, follow the automated prompts.

6. Watch for a message stating that voicemail has been activated.
