Make Your Own Voice Ringtone

Record your own voice for a great ringtone.

Ringtones can cost several dollars and highlight only a fraction of your personality. Having several ringtones on a phone can make you realize how easy it is to spend money unnecessarily. You can use the voice recorder on your cell phone to create free ringtones using your own voice. This is a great option for those who are interested in creating personalized ringtones for each contact on your phone.

Instructions

1. Turn on your cell phone and go to the main menu. Select the area containing media files. This will most likely be the location of your voice recorder.

2. Click on "Voice Notes" to open up the recorder. A screen will pop up with a microphone; click on the button to select the recorder.

3. Click the "Record" button and talk away. This is your personal ringtone, so feel free to talk, sing, shout or do whatever you feel like recording. Click the "Stop" button when finished.

4. Save the recording to your cell phone by clicking the "Save" button. This will save the voice file into a specific folder.

5. Click on the file you just recorded to bring up the options menu. Select "Set as Ring Tone" and wait for the calls to come in so you can hear your voice.
