Open A File On A Nokia Cell Phone

A Nokia cell phone.


A Nokia cell phone is capable of many file storage functions. You can access files (such as pictures and phone book entries) that are saved to different memory locations on the handset. The Nokia can save files to a memory card, the internal device memory, and even to your SIM card. You can also access files on your phone when you have the Nokia connected to a computer. Files that are stored in a different place within the Nokia are opened following different methods.


Instructions


Open File from Internal Memory on Phone


1. Turn on the Nokia phone by pressing and holding down on the red "End Call" button. Click down on the "Menu" key from the main screen that loads on the phone.


2. Click on the location where the file is located on your phone's memory. If you want to open a phone book file, click on "Phonebook." For pictures, video or other media, click on "Galley" or "Fun & Apps."


3. Click on the option for "Settings" that appears on the screen. Move the cursor down and click on "Memory Status" from the list.


4. Click the selection for "Phone" and then scroll to and select the name of the file that you want to open.

5. Turn on the Nokia phone by pressing and holding down on the red "End Call" button. Click down on the "Menu" key from the main screen that loads on the phone.


6. Select the location where the file is located on your Nokia's memory. If you want to open an address book file, click on "Phonebook." For pictures, video or other media, click on "Galley" or "Fun & Apps."


7. Navigate to and click the "Settings" option and then click the prompt for "Memory status."


8. Click on the option for "SIM card." Scroll to the SIM card file that you want to open and then click the "OK" key.

9. Turn on the Nokia phone by pressing and holding down on the red "End Call" button. Click down on the "Menu" key from the main screen that loads on the phone.


10. Scroll down and click on the option for "Fun & Apps" from the list. Click on "Gallery" when the option appears.


11. Click down on the "OK" key for the "Memory Card" option. Scroll through the list of folders that are stored on the memory card.


12. Click the folder that contains the file that you want to open. Select the specific file name and then click on the "Open" option to view the file.

13. Turn on the Nokia phone by pressing and holding down on the red "End Call" button. Click down on the "Menu" key from the main screen that loads on the phone.


14. Navigate to and click the "Settings" option and then click the prompt for "Connectivity."


15. Move down and click on the "USB data cable" option and then select the text for "Data Storage."


16. Turn on your computer and wait for it to completely turn on. Insert one end of the USB cable to the phone and the other end to the computer. Make sure that a "Removable Disk" window appears on your computer.


17.Click the option for "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" when the window appears. Select the "OK" button to open the file.
