Make Computer Bluetooth Discoverable

Many hands-free headsets are Bluetooth devices.


Portable electronics aid people in integrating their digital life with their everyday life. A technology that helps make this possible is Bluetooth. Bluetooth is a wireless technology that is used to connect portable devices seamlessly. Examples of Bluetooth devices include wireless headsets for cell phones, wireless mice for laptops, and wireless disc drives. If your laptop or home computer has a Bluetooth receiver built into it, you can set it up to discover other nearby Bluetooth devices quite easily.


Instructions


1. Click on the Start menu and click on "Control Panel." The control panel will load up and display a list of configurable items.


2. Click on "Bluetooth Configuration" from the control panel. The Bluetooth configuration page will open up.


3. Click on the "Accessibility" tab on the Bluetooth configuration page.


4. Check the box labeled: "Let other Bluetooth devices discover this computer."


5. Restart your computer. When it reloads, the computer will be Bluetooth discoverable.
