Use Logitech F0399a

The F-0399A can connect to other devices without wires.

The Logitech F-0399A is a wireless headset that can work both with your Bluetooth-enabled cellphone as well as your computer. The device comes with a USB reciever that can attach to any USB port on your computer, which enables you to use the headset without wires. The F-0399A is rechargeable from any wall outlet; it has a talk time of 7 hours and will last for 300 hours on standby. Pairing the device with your computer is fairly easy with the supplied software. To pair the F-0399A with your cellphone, you merely need to enter a four-digit code.

Instructions

1. Connect the power adapter to the headset, then plug the adapter into an electrical outlet. The red LED indicator on your headset will turn on, confirming that the unit is charging. Once the LED indicator turns off, the unit is fully charged.

2. Insert the installation CD (CallCentral Software) in your computer. If the installation does not start automatically, double-click on the "D" drive icon from your file explorer to activate the CD. When prompted, connect the USB receiver to any available USB port and turn on your headset by pressing the multi-function button for three seconds. Wait for the USB receiver and the headset to establish connection; this can take 20 seconds or more. When the connection has been established, you will see blue flashing lights on the headset and the receiver. In the following screens, continue the activation process.

3. Turn on your Bluetooth-enabled cellphone, and make sure that your phone's Bluetooth function is on. Turn off the headset by pressing the multi-function button for three seconds. After you see no lights on the headset, press and hold the multi-function button for around 10 seconds until you see a blue flashing light followed by a red flashing light. The headset is ready to be paired with your phone.

4. Open the Bluetooth menu on your cellphone and go to the pairing screen. This function may be called "find Bluetooth device", "pair", "discover" or something similar. Your phone should inform you that it has found the Logitech wireless headset and ask you for a four-digit code. Enter "0000" as the code. If the pairing is successful, you will see a blue flashing light on the headset and a confirmation message on the screen of your cellphone. If unsuccessful, turn off both devices and repeat this step.

5. Connect the power adapter to the headset when you see a red flashing light on the headset. This red light indicates your battery is about to run out.

Using Your Headset

6. Right-click on the CallCentral icon on your computer. After you install the CallCentral software, your headset will connect automatically to your desktop or mobile device when it is turned on and is within range. Once a connection is established, the CallCentral icon will automatically appear on your desktop. Right-clicking on the icon will bring up a pop-up menu that will enable you to control numerous features.

7. Select "Show Toolbar" from the menu. You can initiate a call, hang up during a call, adjust headset volume and view call duration from the toolbar without actually touching the headset. By choosing "Settings" from the menu, you can adjust audio settings and ensure that your computer is configured for the best call quality.

8. Press the multi-function button for three seconds when you are near your cellphone to establish connection. After you have succesfully paired your headset with your cellphone, all you need to do is to press the multi-function button on the F0399A for three seconds to turn it on. Your cellphone and headset will then automatically connect, which you can confirm by the message on the screen of your cellphone.
