Reset A Nokia 6102i Phone

The Nokia 6102I cell phone has voice dialing, Wi-Fi for accessing the Internet and a camera for shooting videos and pictures. There is also an organizer, an alarm clock, a to-do list and a calculator. If your Nokia 6102I isn't working properly, you can do a soft reset, which is like starting a computer back up. If you made changes to menu settings that no longer suit you now, you can restore the phone to the factory default settings.

Instructions

Soft Reset

1. Press the "Power" button to turn off the phone.

2. Press down on the release button on the back of the phone, and slide off the back cover.

3. Remove the battery from the compartment. Wait for a few seconds and then put the battery back in and replace the cover.

4. Press the "Power" button to turn the phone back on. It is now reset.

Reset to Factory Defaults

5. Press the selection key, located in the middle of the four-way scroll key, to bring up the phone's menu if you want to restore it to the original settings.

6. Press the scroll key to navigate to "Settings," and then press the selection key.

7. Press the scroll key to navigate to "Restore Settings," and then press the selection key.

8. Type in your security code on the phone's keypad. The phone will then reset itself to the factory default settings. The names and phone numbers in your contacts will remain intact.
