Change A Password On A Samsung Phone Sghc417

Your SGH-c417 keeps your data password protected.


The Samsung SGH-c417 is a lightweight, quad-band, simple-to-use flip phone. It offers a user-friendly menu to access instant messaging, multimedia, speakerphone, contacts, alarms, calendar, calculator, stopwatch and more. The screen will display icons showing the current status of selected features. Additionally, the phone offers multiple security options through the use of a phone password, a phone PIN and a SIM card password. All of these security features can be configured by the user.


Instructions


1. Press the "Menu" soft key to access the Menu mode. There is a right and left soft key located next to the navigation ring. These soft keys perform the functions shown on the bottom of the display.


2. Select "Settings" and press the "Select" soft key or press the menu "Confirm" key located in the center of the navigation ring.


3. Select "Security" and press the "Select" soft key or press the menu "Confirm" key.


4. Use the "Down" navigation key to scroll through the available options.


5. Choose the "Change Password" option. This option changes the current phone password to a new password.


6. Enter the current password. If it is a new phone, enter the preset factory password of "00000000."


7. Enter the new four- to eight-digit password. You must confirm this new password by entering it a second time at the prompt. You have now successfully changed the phone password.
