Use The Keypads On Nokia Cell Phones

Nokia brand cell phones utilize a code system to display phone information or provide access to the phone's user-controlled settings. Learning to use these keypad codes is easy and will help you make the most of your Nokia cell phone and its features.


Instructions


1. Lock or unlock the keypad on your Nokia cell phone. To lock your Nokia keypad, press the "Lock" button followed by the "Star" key. Repeat the process to unlock the keypad.


2. Display the firmware version and firmware date on your Nokia cell phone. For newer-model Nokia phones, enter the code *#0000# to display the firmware information. If you have an older model Nokia, enter one of the following codes to display the firmware information: *#9999# *#170602112302# or *#682371158412125#.


3. Show Bluetooth information for your phone by entering the code *#bta0#. The simplified version of Bluetooth information code is *#2820#.


4. Transfer contact numbers, images and sound recordings from one Nokia phone to another. Enter *#warranty# to access the Warranty Menu, the simplified version of the Warranty Menu access code is *#92772689#. While in the Warranty Menu, enter 87267.


5. Restore the factory settings on your Nokia phone. To restore only the .ini files on your Nokia phone to their original state, while preserving your user-created files and third-party applications, enter *#7780#. To restore your Nokia cell phone to factory settings, including deleting all user-created files and third-party applications, enter *#res0# or *#7370#.
