Configure the Notification for Voicemail on a Blackberry Curve
One of the many advantages of owning a smartphone, like the BlackBerry Curve, is that you have the ability to personalize it. Not only can you change the ringtone notifying you of a new call, you can also personalize the ringtone for your voicemail notification. On the BlackBerry Curve, a voicemail notification and the text message notification use the same ringtone.
Instructions
1. Turn on your BlackBerry Curve and navigate to the "Profiles" icon on the applications page. Refer to your user manual if necessary. (Note: If you are on the home page, you can press the menu key and scroll down to get there.)
2. Click on the "Profiles" icon, then scroll down to "SMS Text." (On the BlackBerry Curve, your voicemail notification is the same as your text message notification.)
3. Make your selections for the "Out of Holster" settings. Choose whether you want your voicemail notification to just make sound or to vibrate as well.
In the next field down, choose the ringtone you want with your voicemail notification. Your BlackBerry Curve comes with several preinstalled notification tones, and you can also choose between any music ringtones you have added to it.
In the next field, choose how loud you want your voicemail notification to ring.
Then, scroll down and make your selections for the "In Holster" settings.
4. Press the "Back" button. When the confirmation screen appears, click "Save" to put your new voicemail notification in effect.
