Delete The Recent Message History On An Lg Vu

Delete the Recent Message History on an LG Vu

The LG Vu is a state of the art cell phone and web browser. It also has a camera, music program and TV capabilities. One of the features of the LG Vu is its efficiency in helping you stay in touch with others through text messages, voicemail messages and IM messages. Whether you use your phone for business or pleasure, you may find that you desire to delete your recent message history for privacy reasons. Deleting message history on the LG Vu is simple, but you must be sure to go to all of your message folders to delete any recent contact.

Instructions

1. Power on your LG Vu, and from the main screen, touch the Menu icon, which is the 4 dots on the lower left of the screen.

2. Touch "Messaging," and then "Inbox."

3. Select "Options" on the bottom of the Inbox screen. Here you are given several choices to choose from. You can choose to delete the individual message, all unread messages only, all read messages only or completely delete of all messages received. Make your selection and touch "OK."

4. Touch "Back" and go to the "Drafts" folder. Select "Options" in the Draft folder, and you can choose to delete individual drafts, multiple drafts or all message drafts.

5. Go to the "Outbox" folder and select "Options." The Outbox holds messages that have been written, but have not been sent due to a send failure. Under Options you can choose to delete individual failed messages, or do a mass delete of all failed messages.

6. Go to the "Sent" folder and select "Options." Here you can delete your recently sent messages. To delete individual sent messages, highlight the message and hit "Delete." To delete all sent messages, select "Delete All."

7. Call your "Voicemail" mailbox to delete any voicemail message history. Listen to saved messages, and listen to the prompt to delete the message by pressing "7."

8. Go to your email Inbox and select the email that you wish to delete. Highlight it and then click "Options." Under options, select "Delete." You can do this in your email Inbox, Sent Messages, Drafts and Saved Messages.

9. Go to your IM messages and select "Contact List." Under the Contact List, select "Saved Conversations." When you are in Saved Conversations, click on the conversation you wish to view. Select "Options" and then choose "Delete" to delete the conversation history that you wish to be rid of.
