Pictures may be easily converted into a format cell phones will recognize and display. JPEG (.jpg) files are compatible with the majority of cell phones. Converting other picture file types, such as Bitmaps (.bmp) or GIF (.gif) files is quick and easy with Microsoft Paint, a simple graphics editing program shipped with all Windows operating systems.
