It can be frustrating to accidentally delete text messages on your cell phone but there is hope for retrieving those messages. There are multiple recovery software programs that can recover text messages. However, Nokia phones often do not require the purchase of additional software to retrieve lost information. You will only need to download a file manager to your phone. This process can be used for any Nokia phone except for the Symbian 3rd Edition.
Instructions
1. Download and install "FExplorer" onto your Nokia 5310 cell phone. From your phone, navigate to megaleecher.net/Recover_Deleted_SMS_Messages and click on the "FExplorer" link.
2. Start "FExplorer" and select "C" or "D" from the options. Use "C" if your messages are normally saved to the phone's memory. Use "D" if you normally save your messages to a removable storage card.
3. Locate and open the "System" folder. Locate and open the "Mail" folder. There will be multiple files in the "Mail" folder. Deleted messages will be labeled with numbers containing zeros and ones. Open and browse each folder using the "FExplorer" text viewer until you find the messages you are looking for.
